VALHALLA MISSILE SILO
We all made our ways separately to the Silo site near Abilene with most people arriving on Saturday but some not until Sunday. Our first experience was a tour of the facility and a briefing on the history. Then we began the task of moving our gear into the staging area and getting suited up. Since the silo is at close to 2,500 feet of altitude, it was a little more difficult for the low-landers in the crowd! It certainly was an experience diving in a container that previously housed such a massive tool of destruction.
