Rance McCloskey
Master Diver
Assistant Instructor

I started diving in October 2002.  Growing up watching programs like Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau got me interested.  I wish I had started diving at a much younger age.  My first time in the pool I was extremely anxious and my class ended very quickly!  Over time, with the help of my instructors, I became comfortable underwater.  Because of my initial experience, I can empathize with people who are anxious underwater and  I enjoy helping them experience the beauty of the underwater world.  As I tell everyone, there is nothing like being down at 40 to 60 feet and seeing and experiencing the coral and fish.  Words cannot describe the feeling and excitement when you dive in places like Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras. I have experienced diving with sharks, stingrays, moray eels, and many other species.  In 2004 I completed my Rescue certification, in 2006 my Divemaster certification and in 2008 my Assistant Instructor.
